When there has been a power failure, or if Jip loses the connection to Adam in some other way, Jip will automatically try to reconnect to the Smart Hub (Adam).
Reconnection attempts
After the connection has been lost, Jip automatically tries to reconnect to the Smart Hub. This happens at the following times:
- After 5 minutes
- After 15 minutes
- After 60 minutes
If the connection is still not successful, Jip will wait 24 hours before trying again.
Jip appears offline
Between the last attempt (after 1 hour) and the next attempt (after 24 hours), Jip appears to be down. In reality, Jip is waiting for the next moment to reconnect. Please note: this means that Jip will only actively try to reconnect 23 hours after the last attempt.
Manual reconnection
Don't want to wait for Jip to automatically reconnect? Then you can also manually add Jip to the network again. To do this, you first need to reset Jip.
