There are two Homey apps available that allow Tom/Floor to work together with Homey.

Plugwise app for Homey

Website: https://homey.app/en-gb/app/com.plugwise.adam/Plugwise/

The official Plugwise app for Homey. This connects the Adam gateway to Homey at API level. In Homey you can then add the zones and/or Tom/Floor for Adam. If you adjust the temperature of Tom/Floor, the zone temperature on Adam will also be adjusted.

Benefits

  • Official app supported by Plugwise
  • Take advantage of Adam with all the smart zone heating features
  • Adam controls your boiler, heat pump or district heating

Cons

  • You need an Adam HA as a gateway

Plugwise zigbee app for Homey

Website: https://homey.app/en-gb/app/com.plugwise.zigbee/Plugwise-Zigbee-Support/

This is an app from the community. This connects Tom/Floor to the Homey at zigbee level. You don't need Adam, but you'll miss all the smart features of Adam and the zone control.

Benefits:

  • You don't need an Adam gateway
  • Ideal to start small with a simple control of your radiators.

Cons:

  • There is no control of the boiler, heat pump or district heating. This must be controlled in a different way via Homey.
  • The heating behavior per zone is not learned, what is the influence of the outside temperature, sun and wind for each zone, and the weather forecast for the next 48 hours is not used.
  • Preheating cannot be done by means of a schedule in which it is calculated per zone how long in advance should be started.
  • It is not automatically checked whether the Tom/Floor is open before switching on the boiler/heat pump/circulation pump.
  • The last zone is not automatically left open after the last heat request. This is often beneficial for the boiler pump that can still run.
  • You will not receive any firmware updates for Tom/Floor
  • You can't set the pushing force of Tom/Floor
  • You cannot set the radio strength of Tom/Floor
